Did you catch me at lunchtime yesterday on my SuSu Sisterhood facebook page? I made 2 cute cards using Cheerful Basket and showed a sneak peek of another project with that stamp set that we will make at the end of the month classes July 25 and 26. Here’s the first project – just stamps, ink and paper.
I love this set! I stamped the basket, the craft supplies, butterfly, and sentiment in memento black and colored with my blends. Have I said I love the blends? I do! They make me feel like an artist when I’m not really. I love to color and shade and they are perfect for this. The first card I made I stamped directly on the focal piece of white 3-3/4 x 5 – no dimensionals at all. The second card I made was a little stepped up. I die cut out the basket and apples and butterfly. I did put a little light smoky slate under the basket on both cards to ground them. I also ran the piece through our die cutter with the Stitched with Whimsey die to add the stitching around the edge. Then everything is better with a little bling, so a rhinestone on the butterfly.
What do you think? Which one do you like better? I’d love to earn your business if you don’t already have a demonstrator. Message me and I’m glad to meet with you or get catalogs to you or help in any way.
Take care.
