Occassionally – well, really more frequently than I would like to admit – I need a sympathy card. I have made the typical black and white sympathy cards lately, but today I wanted something with softer colors and the new In Colors were calling my name.
I used the stamp sets Thanks for Caring and Easter Blessings. I really thought I'd use these beautiful flowers more alone than with the Easter sentiment, so when I went to mount the stamp set to the wood block, I cut off the Easter sentiment. It works much easier for me now. I stamped the flowers, colored them and then cut them out. They are popped up with dimensionals on this card. I used the beautiful new Lost Lagoon cardstock and the new Hello Honey ribbon. The ink on the flowers is Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, and Mossy Meadow – all of these are new In Colors for this year. Don't you love them? They are so rich. I haven't shown you my favorite new color – Blackberry Bliss. Stay tuned for a sample using that color later this week.
Have you seen the new In Colors for 2014-15? They are beautiful!
