Suzanne Taylor, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 2009 and love it more today than I did when I started! I love sharing the fun of paper crafting with others and seeing their joy as they create something beautiful.

Monday Facebook Live – Cherish the Season

November 23, 2020 Leave a Comment

Hello! Happy Monday! Today on our facebook live I made a really cute and easy card using Cherish the Season. As promised, here are all the details!

Don’t you get that happy feeling of snow and cool weather? For me, I’d love some snow. Give me a full pantry (especially fritos and chili) and a warm fireplace, then it can snow for maybe a week. Then I’d be ready to do something else. LOL.

Let’s talk about this card.

Stamp set – Cherish the Season
Cardstock – Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Highland Heather, Silver Foil
DSP – Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper
Inks – Smoky Slate, Highland Heather
Blends – Smoky Slate light and dark
Ribbon – Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon
Dies – Stitched Shapes
Punch – Lovely Labels Pick a Punch
Other – Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Your favorite adhesive (I love the liquid glue), Wink of Stella

*Start with a half a sheet of Thick Whisper White cut 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4.
*Cut one pattern (I used the snowflakes) of DSP 5-1/2 x 2-3/4. Save the 1/2 strip for the inside.
*Cut another pattern (I used the stripe) of DSP 1-1/2 x 5-1/2.
*Cut 1/2 x 5-1/2 strip of silver foil.
*Using scrap Whisper White, cut out the second largest square die of the Stitched Shapes dies.
*Cut a 2-3/8 square of Highland Heather.
*Whisper white scrap for sentiment 3/4 wide approximately 3-1/4 long.

Let’s stamp!
*Stamp the double bell image in Smoky Slate on the white stitched square and color with the Smoky Slate blends.
*Stamp the sentiment in Highland Heather on the 3/4 wide Whisper White scrap and punch both ends with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
*Stamp Merry Christmas in Highland Heather on the inside.
*Stamp either of the bells images in smoky slate on the inside right corner.

Let’s put it all together!
*Adhere the 5-1/2 x 2-3/4 DSP piece to the top of the front on the card base.
*Adhere the silver strip to the top of the strip DSP piece and then attach this piece to the front of the card base overlapping the snowflake pattern.
*Attach the stamped stitched square to the Highland Heather square and attach it to the right side of the card with dimensionals.
*Attach the sentiment to the front of the card with dimensionals.
*Tie a bow with the beautiful silver metallic ribbon and attach with a glue dot to the front of the card.
*On the inside, attach the 1/2 strip of the DSP you saved from earlier to the bottom of the card.
*Put Wink of Stella on the bells.

What do you think? I think it’s gorgeous! Thanks Ange for the inspiration for this card!

Remember the big sale tomorrow. If I can help you with any of your stamping needs, I’d love to earn your business.

Take care.
