Suzanne Taylor, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 2009 and love it more today than I did when I started! I love sharing the fun of paper crafting with others and seeing their joy as they create something beautiful.

Best Year Ever Shaker Card

December 31, 2020 Leave a Comment

Happy New Year’s Eve! I’ve got a cute super easy shaker card for you. Check out my Facebook Live video on SuSu Sisterhood to watch as I make this card.

I love this quick and easy shaker card method. I’ve seen it so many times but it’s the first time I’ve done it. I hope you will try it.

Here are the specs:
Just Jade base 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4 and scrap for punching
DSP from Playing with Patterns pack 5-1/4 x 4 and 1/2 x 5-1/4 (for inside)
Just Jade ribbon
White cardstock 4 x 5-1/4 (inside) and scrap for 2″ circle punch
Just Jade ink
Dimensionals
Scotch tape (or some other variety of tape like this)
Sequins, small cutouts, something to put inside the shaker card
Clear envelope

I put the DSP sheet inside the clear envelope and then sprinkled all the sequins inside. I tried to make sure they stayed on the front of the card. Seal the envelope tightly to fit the size of the DSP. On the other edge, fold the clear envelope to the back and secure with scotch tape. I wrapped ribbon around the clear envelope and stamped the sentiment from Best Year on a white 2″ circle, layered it on a Just Jade starburst circle and then added to the front of the clear envelope with dimensionals. Add the clear envelope to the front of the card base with dimensionals. Put the white cardstock piece on the inside and attach the 1/2″ strip of DSP to the bottom. Maybe you can get it straighter than I got mine. LOL. I decided it needed a little blinging up, so I added some sequins on the top of the DSP strip. What do you think?

Here’s another card I made with another piece of DSP from the Playing with Patterns pack of paper. I used Calypso Coral for my ink and base and ribbon.

Catch me on my facebook page SuSu Sisterhood tomorrow and I’ll tell you about the best buy in the catalog! You won’t want to miss this one.

If you don’t have a Stampin Up demonstrator and would like the new catalogs, let me know and I’ll get them to you. You can swing by my house and pick up a copy or I can drop them off to you if you are local or I can mail them to you if you aren’t local. You will want these and you will want them soon so you can take advantage of all the free things beginning January 5.

I’d love to earn your business. Please message me and let me know how I can help you with your paper crafting needs.

Take care.
