Suzanne Taylor, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 2009 and love it more today than I did when I started! I love sharing the fun of paper crafting with others and seeing their joy as they create something beautiful.

November Hostess Club Project – Part 1

November 3, 2010 1 Comment

 I absolutely love this card!

I saw one like this posted somewhere and knew I had to copy it!!  Start with a Soft Suede base card.  Add a layer of So Saffron.

Stamp the En Francis background stamp in Versamark on the So Saffron.  Be sure your Versamark pad is well inked up — if it's not, the image will not come out well.  Side note — Have you seen reinker for your Versamark pad anywhere but Stampin Up?  I've looked at those big box stores, and none of them carry it!

I cut an oval in a piece of the cardboard that is on the back of the grid paper.  (I kept several of these – now I have a great use for them!)  Adhere your cardboard with the oval cut out on top of your So Saffron paper with removable adhesive.   Sponge So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie inside the oval to create a sunset sort of look.  For lack of a better name, I'm calling this the sunset technique.

I inked up the larger stamp in the Just Believe set with Old Olive and Cajun Craze and stamped the image on the left side of the "sunset."  Before I cleaned the stamp, I stamped just the top portion on a piece of So Saffron I put on the inside of the card.  I stamped on the lower right corner – just a little bit of the image – but enough to give the card a nice, finished feel.

Final touch – a few of the basic pearls in the center of the flowers.

Don't forget to stamp on the envelope!

Check back tomorrow and I'll post another of our November hostess projects.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope something you see here inspires you to stamp!
