Suzanne Taylor, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since 2009 and love it more today than I did when I started! I love sharing the fun of paper crafting with others and seeing their joy as they create something beautiful.

Trapped Emboss Resist Technique

February 20, 2022 Leave a Comment

Did you catch my Facebook live last week where I made some gorgeous cards with the trapped emboss resist technique? I applied a couple of colors to my focal piece with blending brushes and then embossed over it. This traps the color under the embossed images. Some I embossed with white and some with clear embossing powder. Then I stamped various images from the Ranuculus Romance and Very Versailles stamp sets. There’s a little ink on the embossed images now. Take a paper towel and gently wipe that off. The ink doesn’t stick to the embossed area and these new stamped images appear to be in the background now. It’s magic! Notice the clear embossed images don’t pop out as boldly as the white embossed ones. To fix that, take your white ink and rub a little over the clear embossed flowers. See my blue card example. Isn’t it pretty? I think this might be my favorite. It brightens up the embossed flowers and softens the blue inks around it.

My facebook is SuSu Sisterhood if you want to jump over there and see the video from last week. If you want to order supplies please go to my online store at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2048214.

Message me if you have any questions or if I can help you with anything. Have a great day!
