Punched Posies Birthday Card

July 18, 2010 Leave a Comment

Concord Crush, Punched Posies, Stampin Up, Suzanne Taylor

I have a friend who celebrated  a birthday this weekend.  Here's my card, envelope and gift bag.  It was fun to color coordinate them!

For the card:

Stamps:  Punched Posies (Level 2 hostess set from the summer mini catalog) and Occasional Quotes (level 3 hostess set from the new catalog)

Cardstock:  Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White

Ink:  Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz

Embellishments:  Dazzling Diamonds – can you see this?  I used two way glue and outlined the butterflies on the card, envelope and bag and sprinkled them all with dazzling diamonds.  Bling, bling, bling!!!

Cool tools:  Oval punch, scallop oval punch, butterfly punch, scallop circle punch

Don't forget about the envelope!  It adds so much to stamp on the envelope.  I stamped multiple times with one of the small flower images from the Punched Posies set on the flap in Concord Crush.  I also stamped the butterfly image on the front.

 For the inside:

The sentiment is from the Occasional Quotes set and I've stamped more of the flowers from Punched Posies multiple times without reinking on the bottom.

Then there is the gift bag and tissue paper.  I stamped the butterfly image in Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz on the tissue paper.  Unfortunately, this picture doesn't show the tissue paper very well, but it is cool to make your own special "designer" paper!

For the bag, I used a plain white sack, stamped the small flower on it.  Then I stamped the other two images on whisper white cardstock and punched them out.  I put dazzling diamonds on the butterflies on this sack, too.  You can never have enough bling!
